P90 Anyone!? (UPDATE in comments)

FH and I decided to start working out together. We did our first session tonight, and as we figured we are very out of shape. We decided to do the whole shebang, with pics. and a weigh in. Anyone else doing either p90 or P90x? FH and I need motivation as this may not last if we can't keep up the motivation anyone out there want to keep each other accountable to work out!?

    I got Scott half way through p90 before i stopped..II had lost like 15 lbs! At first i didn't think i was losing any weight, but i was losing inches..my clothes fit better and my halfway pictures showed a huge difference... I would love to start up again

    Let's do it! The key is also a good diet...i ate three meals and two snacks a day...about every four hours..and tons of water!

    Our friend is helping us get our metabolism up. So lots of food here! Like I said yesterday was day 1 and today I am very sore. Looks like we have to go get protein. When are you starting day one?

    Im currently doing P90x day 1 week 2 my little sister is doing a hybrid of p90 and p90x with me. This is an amazing program. I havent lost any weight with it yet but my clothes are looser after 1 week. Just make sure you track your food intake I crashed soooo bad last week and realized I wasnt eating nearly enough so I'm following the nutrition guide a bit closer now

    FH and i are doing something like p90x on the non cardio/yoga/plyo days we are doing bow flex to get more resistance, but with the cardio type work outs were doing those and things are going fantastic!

    Hubby & I have been doing P90x since November (though inconsistently). He's lost 35lbs and I've lost 26lbs so far, in combination with a healthier eating lifestyle.

    Glad to hear it works! As far as eating we are not following the guide. But our friend is really big on working out, and he is teaching us to eat more meals throughout the day to get our metabolism up. It's hard we went from lots of small meals to about 2 big meals when we moved. Now that we moved again we are trying to get back into old eating habits.

    If we stick this out after we want to continue with P90X and then move onto insanity. We decided we needed to be healthier for a future family. What's your reasoning for doing it?

    Def works I noticed too in the 1st week! My main reason for doing it is to get back in shape. I used to work out regularly but since I had my son almost 2 yrs ago he became priority.

    I dont have to lose much just tone really but life got in the way. I got busy at work getting home late and I have toddler to attend to. I just need to get back into the routine.

    P90X and the Beach Body plans are very challenging. My biggest suggestion is to write down all you eat and drink as well as what work out and for how long ever single day. Writing it down will make you be more conscious about what you are eating. With P90X it really seems that you have to be in pretty good shape first, those work-out will kick your tail!

    Alright ladies just finished day 2! I'm still pretty sore from yesterday, hopefully FH gets that protein soon. We both feel great though and are really attempting to motivate each other. Starting to real love doing this with him, as its something that is now ours!!!

    @Kathy you do not have to be in great shape to do P90x or beachbody programs for that matter. That is the beauty of it. You start out doing as much as you can and work your way up. Trust me when I started Insanity last year at 254lbs after having my daughter I couldn't finish an entire workout right away but I kept doing it every day and 2 rounds of Insanity and I was down 65lbs. If you do any program you will lose weight the problem is most people don't stick with them long enough. Yet another thing I love about beachbody is you get a coach to help you along the way, challenge groups to keep you accountable and programs that are fun and very effective with nutrition guides .

    So FH made it through our first week! We are so excited, we wanted to quit and just say this is stupid, but we stuck it out. I am so proud of us as a team. Where is everyone else at? Hopefully doing good and sticking it out!
