(paging firstoneat56) deer/hunting themed wedding favors

Stacy, on July 28, 2017 at 2:48 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 96

I am going crazy trying to figure out what would be a good idea for wedding favors. We are hoping to do something rustic, or related to deer hunting or camo. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'd suggest you don't buy one per guest, unless you're positive every guest would appreciate your theme.

Is your whole wedding this theme? Or is this just a little part? Could you give out a duck call?

Maybe like deer antler chocolate molds? Anything edible is usually best.

Our wedding invitations have deer head outlines; our cake topper is going to the same as the outline on our invitation; the guys are wearing camo vests; their boutonnieres are going to be in shotgun shells, as are the seating cards.

Search hunting themed wedding favors, I know I've seen some when looking for beach stuff. One site had wine corks with antlers that were really cute.

There's a member on here doing this.. I think her name is firstonetoeat.... I could be wrong.

Also, an overwhelming amount of camo can come off, not as nice looking...

Personally I'd suggest more rustic and not deer/camo...

We aren't doing everything camo. The only camo will be the guys' vests.

Killing animals- so romantic! I guess you have no friends that are vegetarians.

This is the outline on the invitations, and what will be on our wedding topper

My FH got a spent bullet bottle opener for Christmas a couple of years ago, that may work:

It's not like we're hunting at our wedding. And if we were, well I guess we'll be having an awesome dinner! As for no friends that are vegetarians, I don't believe I do. But even if I did, am I supposed to change MY wedding for someone else?

Green, Brown, and Orange M&Ms in little favor bags.

    Trail mix?

If I was a guest I would definitely prefer something edible.

Edibles are good. deer shaped chocolates are good or venison jerky would be even better. Wood Photo frames with the deer outline (look on etsy).

I think maybe you just need to sensitive to the fact that "deer hunting" and camo don't necessarily say "wedding" and anything really obvious may offend people who don't necessarily share your enthusiasm.

But my hunch is that by that time, the proverbial horse is outta the barn.

    But this is me.

We have a similar theme. We are doing jerky in cellophane bags, decorated cookies (individually wrapped in cellophane) and koozies since this is Texas and we drink a lot of beer. Pics contd

What I'm asking suggestions on had nothing to do with what we are eating. It is for wedding favors. all of our family and all of our friends know that my fiance is an avid hunter.
