how do you go about, figuring ur actual size?? what size is ur pants/jeans? what size is ur dress??? I wear 5-7 size jeans and my dress is a size 10. Wedding dress sizes are NOT the same as regular dress sizes!

Designers use their own charts to determine sizes instead of the standard ones, which means you’re probably going to end up wearing a larger size than you usually do. Don’t let this get to you. All that matters is how you feel in the dress, not the number that’s on it. Also - keep in mind that each designer uses their own sizing chart, so your dress size could be different for each designer!

Make sure the bridal salon takes your body measurements and orders a dress based on your largest measurement!

Size 0 or 2 jeans. On average I was a size 6, but I was told a few times I would be a 10.

I'm 5'5 125lb and have a variety of pants ranging from size 5 to size 9 but just bought a bridesmaid dress for next month in a size 2! I don't know how that's possible, but I just recently got engaged myself but too scared to try on dresses right now cause I wanna lose some of the extra weight I put on in the last few months. Sounds like wedding dresses definently run small though so I'm a lil scared to see what I'd fit into.

Wedding dress sizes are NOT the same as regular dress sizes!!

Designers use their own charts to determine sizes instead of the standard ones, which means you’re probably going to end up wearing a larger size than you usually do. Don’t let this get to you. All that matters is how you feel in the dress, not the number that’s on it.

Make sure that you listen to the salon when they are ordering the dress and don't get hung up on the numbers! The wedding dress should be ordered based on your body measurements, and matched up with a wedding dress "size" based off your largest measurement.

All wedding dresses need some altering!
