Paper flower crazy

erin, on February 18, 2011 at 10:19 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 28

Just wanted to show you guys what I've been working on lately...The flowers are in all different colors right now because I was just using the paper I had available. I'm going to stick them in with my big paper pouf centerpieces and in my bouquet!

Those are so adorable! I wish I could figure out how to be so artsy! I told my flower girl she could make paper flowers for my centerpeices at the rehearsal dinner, so we have a date to make them together and they do not look anywhere near as nice as yours! lol

Wow! Those look great. Did you use a tutorial you found online? How long did it take you to make them?

@Lianne-I used some different tutorials and some I played around and made up myself. It really doesn't take that long....once you make the stems:wrap wire in some tissue and just roll some floral tape around it-you can just make different petal shapes and hot glue them on. Maybe I'm weird but I think it's really soothing haha I do it while we are watching a movie or something.

Martha is freaking amazing.. she makes me feel completely unworthy but I do love her site. And yes, I have tissue paper pouf flowers all over the place after following her instructions. www.marthastewartweddings.com. Lots of inspiration to be found on this site!

I considered doing the same thing but out of fabric for my bouquet! Unfortunately I was on a very tight time frame. So I never did it.

    Your's are lovely!
