Passing gas in front of SO

Ok, so I apologize if this is a bit TMI, but...How does everyone else deal with farting in front of SO? Does anyone have the "honor" of being the stinky one in the relationship? I ask because until recently, I held in my gas when my FI was around, even though he did not. One day he asked me why I never farted in front of him, and said that I shouldn't worry about it because he wants me to be totally comfortable around him. The truth is, I was just trying to spare his nose from the pain, because I've always been a very gassy gal and my gas tends to silent but very, VERY deadly. Anyways, since then I have been more casual about letting loose, and he has been "blown away" (terrible pun intended) by my ability to clear the room. Be careful what you wish for, and all that.

So, do you and SO fart in front of each other? And if so, are you a big stinker?

Oddly my 'foofoo's' don't usually smell but they are really loud. FH has the tendency to smell but he doesn't fart as often.

We fart in front of each other all the time in the comfort of our home; poor dude has been dealing with me farting since the third time we hung out (he was dating my ex-BFF at the time).

Luckily he was the youngest in his household for a long time and grew up with five girls, normal bodily functions don't gross him out at all and even though I pee with the bathroom door open, I hate when he insists on talking to me through the door when I deliberately have it closed because I'm trying to poo.

Yeah neither of us are too self conscious of it. FH's father was as colorectal surgeon. They talked about every bodily function there was. However our dog definitely wins for smelliest...

Absolutely! We are very comfortable in front of eachother but usually never in public lol

We step on a lot of "frogs" or "barking spiders" in our house

My digestive system is not so good and I'm allergic to a lot of things including regular amount of cheese, anything even remotely stale and raw meats (i can't even eat medium cooked steak or sushi)... As a result, I fart a lot Smiley sad Smiley sad

That's why he call me a hippo... A hippo who likes to create fart cloud... Smiley laugh

Fun fact though: I can't poo for the whole 3 days on the first weekend we spent together... too self conscious Smiley laugh

I try to hold it in but my FH always know by my facial expressions . He be like oh you got gas you better go ahead and let loose . As I still hold it in and walk off he grabs me and starts pushing in my stomach until I do let it go. I pass gas we laugh like school kids. I'm starting to get more comfortable now and sometimes I announce it (warning) and it her loose .

I definitely got over being fart shy a long time ago, but it did take me while. We are even to the point where I wouldn't notice if the bathroom door was missing.

DH and i have a system. If the let-looser says, "Excuse me" the other party gets to say "How gross!" if the let-looser forgets, the other party gets to laugh. Don't ask me how we came up with this, but when I giggle after he apologizes he'll say, "Hey, stop that! You're not supposed to do that!" which just makes me laugh harder.

Did anyone else notice this question is coming from evaporar or am I the only one who thinks this is a weird coincidence?

I was honestly shocked to see this thread went to 3 pages...from a 1 star avatar. The OP has not commented again since posting....

....BUT, we all just get a kick out of farting I guess!

This thread reminded me of this video.

FH and I have been farting in front of each other for over half our relationship. I don't remember who started it. But now it's just part of life. Human body's fart. We don't deny that.

Sometimes we giggle and say "I farted" sometimes we blame it on rediculous things "did you hear that barking spider?" "There's a duck in here!" Silly things like that. Very rarely do we actually fart and say"excuse me".

My SO will hold me down when she farts, so I spare nothing back, lol.

These post always crack me up! FH can be very gassy at times but he usually always leaves the room or if I see him with a silly look on his face and in back up mode I know not to move forward. He usually gives warning if I am close by. I didn't toot in front of him for almost two years but now if it happens it happens and he usually chuckles about it. Can #! in front of but not #2...don't know that I would ever be comfortable with that and vise versa.
