Patience for the wedding day! #380daystogo

Jessica, on May 23, 2019 at 4:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 21
Who else has a year or more to go until their beautiful wedding day? Anybody else getting impatient? Haha!
Prepping & getting everything accomplished, been engaged for 4 months about & have the whole wedding basically done! Let the summer begin to get everything done for decoration wise.

Hahaha, we are only 10 days away now (!!!) But exactly a year ago I was feeling exactly as you are. We got engaged in December 2017 and I can't believe it's actually almost time now! I definitely felt like things went so slowly when we were a year away, up until like the 4 or 5 month mark honestly! Once we got to January things picked up, once we got below 100 days it started flying by, and then once we got to 1 month away it feels like there's suddenly not enough time?! Crazy! It'll get here Smiley smile Focus on spending time with your fiance and doing fun things together! My FH and I haven't been out on a fun date in what feels like forever because we're either at work, busy with wedding stuff, or exhausted from work and wedding stuff hahah. The other day he just turned to me and was like "want to do something fun this weekend?" and then we both burst out laughing :p

But seriously once you get to the 1-2 month point, it's honestly so sad that everything feels so rushed and I cannot wait until our honeymoon just so we can start spending quality time together again doing things that are not wedding-related! Enjoy being together! And also make yourself a schedule of what else has to get done and when. The lists I made when I was about 6-9 months away from the wedding have saved my life at this point... the closer the wedding gets, the more scattered and forgetful I've become so I am sooo thankful that I took the time and effort to be organized early on when I had time! Also, writing out a schedule of what needs to happen and when, helps the time go faster I feel Smiley smile

Thanks so much for comment and giving your thoughts and opinion on this! I knew I wasnt alone but yet it feels like around here no one plans a wedding a year plus away, it's always 6 months from now or something crazy like that! I'm definitely happy that we chose to place it out a year for everything! Were doing alot of DIY! So, its becoming alot, but yet it's also great to spend that time with family, friends, fiancee and such! I feel with all our summer plans time will probably fly for the most part!
The important stuff is done and accomplished, now its just the little things, center pieces, favors, kids stuff, etc. But its definitely slow but going fast as well!

Decisions with tuxes & our groomsman I'd say right now is the hardest, more difficult than making my dress decision! Lol.

I'm the opposite. It took my fiance and I over a year to set a date and now its still 14 months away. I'm excited but not nearly as excited as everyone else and their constant questions are giving me major anxiety.

It can be very over whelming, sometimes families have to much input and focus on them too, which I find myself very hard to accept.

My fiancee and I basically planned everything together, and kept all family out except for our dilemmas etc!
14 months out, you do have alot of time. We found out though in our area our decisions had to be made fast due to the quick fill up for a June wedding. If we would have waited until now to book the reception hall it would of been taken already. Hopefully you dont have that problem / stress added to your guys wedding!

Relax and make it about you two, you got this! Hope your anxiety goes down to be able to enjoy the wedding planning fun!

We are getting married June 6th 2020 and got engaged January 14th 2019. Seems like ive got most of the wedding planned in just that short time. I figure if we get all the big things and even a good chunk of the little details done this year the it just gives us more time to relax and just enjoy each others time before the wedding next year.

Securing the venue was why it ended up being in July and not April like we originally wanted. Same thing. Somehow everywhere we went was unavailable anytime in April or May 2020 so we moved our date back to get the venue we liked. It's I'm the youngest of five and the only one to not have a shotgun wedding so everyone is excited but since we got engaged last May it's been nothing but questions about the wedding from all of our family and friends. Like my fiance and I decided on a different color scheme than we originally said this week and everyone's loosing their minds about it. I don't know I'm not very girly and I never thought about my wedding as a kid. I constantly have to remind everyone that it next July not this July.

Veronica, I feel you and I are about in the Sam's boat! Little details, the groomsman, and to pay everything off is about all we got left lol. Feels good, just "patiently" waiting!

We are getting married in 400 days!! We got engaged in December 2018 and picked out our venue in late February. Taking engagement pictures and meeting with our coordinator the end of June (on the 1 year from our date) to do a tasting and walk through, this way we can see what our venue looks like at the exact time of year as our big day. It does seem like we have come to a little bit of a planning slow down but I know this year will go by quickly!

378 days to go for us! We have been engaged for about 2 years now. Wedding planning is in full swing and a lot is already done. I am planning on having everything done by the end of the year (except alterations and things like that) so I can enjoy all the events leading up to the wedding.

Wedding planning is going good! Just ordered the Bridesmaid dresses & picked out the groomsmen attire! Making final decisions on meals and rehearsal.
Otherwise everything besides putting things together is ready for our big day 💕
