Paying for Hotel Rooms

I know it’s not customary but due to friends traveling and family suffering from covid losses of jobs etc, my husband to be and I are paying for all accommodations for our wedding weekend. In the save the date, should we let people know this and if so, does anyone have a good idea on how to word it?
We were thinking “a room has been reserved for you” but then were not sure if that was clear enough that they wouldn’t have to pay! Any advice is appreciated.

How many will there be? This may be something that is better to be handled bu phone call/message, that sort of thing.

How sweet and generous of you and your fiancé ❤️❤️❤️ One idea is on the back of the Save the Date is “In lieu of hotel blocks, hotel accommodations at (enter hotel name) have been taken care of for all guests”. A second thought is spreading by word of mouth and adding this to your Details insert in the invitation.

How sweet & generous of you! I would put your wedding website address on the STDs and include that info on your website. Once you send out invitations, I would include a details card that has that information as well. And you can always spread by word of mouth as well!

That's very nice of you. I would include something on the details card that as a thank you for attending you are willing to cover the cost for them to stay at the hotel for your wedding. Some might not want to stay at whatever hotel you pick though. I know some of our guests stayed elsewhere even though we got married at a hotel.
