Paying to go to someone else's wedding...

I meant to share a while back but forgot since I was wrapped up in wedding plans. Anyhow, we received a wedding invitation and in it was a small card (pictured) saying we need to pay $60. Lol even my FH knew that was ridiculous. He is the best man so we have to go. My FH still hasn't paid it. Not...

It's on a cruise ship. We have to wake up extra early to be there at 9:30am (it's an hour drive). Fh did complain about the wedding attire. They pretty much sent him on a wild goose chase to find the right vest.

Lol Laura Marie, I just might have to do that. This is the couple who thinks we are trying to steal their shine by getting married on a Saturday in October. I don't think it helped that our invites were the same idea. Lol.

It is strange though. They have been planning all year long and still didn't budget correctly.

Disgustingly gross. Regretfully declines in red ink. I honestly hope they get a 75% decline rate. How dare they?

Well I honestly do think it will look nice. It is on a cruise and they handle everything. She just shows up.

Wtf? No. HELL NO. Have they indicated why they are charging people to come to the wedding? Do they really not have money to feed their guests?

If you have to charge guests to attend, you cannot afford a wedding.

We went to a wedding that had about 2 hours between the ceremony and "reception". We were notified we'd have to buy our own lunch ($11). But the whole thing was pretty informal. No RSVP required, etc. So we went to the ceremony and went home. We probably would have gone to lunch too but didn't have anything to do in the area for 2 hours and lived about an hour away. If my friend sent that to me I'd pay it and go and have a good time. Probably dock their present a few bucks though Smiley smile
