Is anyone else paying to move their date?

Our wedding is in January. We've been trying to wait as long as we can to postpone our date, hoping the government would cancel it and we could avoid fees. The mayor just announced no gatherings over 50 are allowed anymore... but there's a loophole where the venue can submit a safety plan and have large events anyway, so they're not willing to move it because they can put a safety plan in place. And they would still hold us to our minimum of paying for 140 guests whether or not they show up.
Definitely feeling trapped and frustrated, ladies!

Our wedding is in Jan as well and our governor announced last night that no gatherings over 15 people are permitted. It only goes until dec 10 but Iowa is a very bad state for this virus. We are leaning towards having it with just 15 people... 😭
