pdf save the dates

Jade, on December 10, 2019 at 8:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
We are trying to keep the cost of the dates extremely low because we’re starting to go over budge. I was planning on just downloading from Etsy and then printing. I also found 79 cent save the dates. My question is what would be cheaper? I’m not sure how much it would cost print to cost because I’d have to take them somewhere and also buy nice card stock. Has anyone done this and would be able to give some advice?

Vistaprint is having a 50% off sale. You can probably find a save the date there. That way you won’t have to worry about the trial and error of dealing with printing and buying the right cardstock

I used one of our engagement photos for our save the dates and designed them myself with the words on top (I have a design background). So, I printed them as 4x6 photos at 9 cents each. I got 55 of them, plus a bunch of our engagement photos in various sizes for us and each of our parents and 5 koozies for about $60 (including shipping) from Shutterfly.

If you're just doing save the dates you could probably get them for about $20 since you wouldn't get free shipping at that price.

You could bring the Etsy design to places like Office Max and have them print them two on a page, so then you’d get two for like .75 cents. They also have different types of paper, for an up charge of course (what ISN’T an extra cost these days? Haha), but even that should only bring you to about a dollar for two (so .50 cents a piece, give or take, depending on the paper type). They charge for cutting if you have them do it (it’s usually not more than three dollars or something), but you can always cut them yourself. This is what we did for our save the dates, invites, and rsvp cards Smiley smile We had our rsvp cards printed on 110# card stock, and our invites and save the dates on 100# gloss cover. We saved a fortune on them, and then we bought envelopes from Amazon (the brand was Azaza).

Hey there, you can either order from Etsy or simply make them yourselves. If you want, I can give you some more advice in the DMs about how I did them. In short, I got some from Etsy, but they only sent us the PDF and I wanted to modify the design a bit. Luckily I found this guide https://pdfliner.com/how-to/how-to-get-w-2-online-and-fill-it-out to working on a PDF and I changed the design of the text exactly how I wanted it to be. It was our special day so even if maybe it wasn't the cheapest version out there, it was something i enjoyed and was happy with.
