Not sure of exact numbers but definitely above $100/person. Potentially above $150/person.

My advice: go through the price sheet they gave you. build a single person price for that includes ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING you want from that venue. Then add in the tax/service fees they charge. Multiply that be 200 guests. How much is it? Is that price worth it to you? If not, are there things you can cut back on but still be happy with what you are getting? If yes to either of those, awesome!! If not, maybe look around for other venues.

No worries. Also, some people in your family might tell you that you can invite certain people and they won't show up so don't include them in your budget. That is 100% wrong!!! Plan your budget based on everyone you invite showing up. While it is rare to have 100% acceptance, it does happen. There have been a few brides on the website that didn't plan for all of their guests attending and were then over budget or over capacity of their venue when 100% RSVPd yes.

It will be closed to 150 people and were pushing for a Friday night (so that helps with cost a lot) but the view and location is impeccable and impossible to find elsewhere....I just want to know what's included in that budget...(or minimum)

Email them and ask. I am at a beachside hotel in Huntington for my wedding (just up the road) and we had a venue fee on top of the menu. Venue fee secured our date, included tables and chairs, dance floor and a room for FH and I on the night of the wedding. The pricing they gave you may only be for food/drink.

There is simply nothing that is impossible to find someplace else, especially at 500.00 per person.....

Janelle, follow the link I gave you. There's a budget calculator on there for that particular venue.

I was looking at venues in Orange County as well. I ended up picking a place in Santa Barbara, but did a lot of research in Orange County.

Pelican Hill will be one of the priciest in the region, along with the five-star resorts in Dana Point. I really, really considered Casa Romantica in San Clemente - honestly, I think the views there are even better than at Pelican Hill. It'll be pricey too, sure, with I think 6-8K as a site fee, but you bring in your own catering which really cuts out the hotel upcharge. It's GORGEOUS.

I tried that; it's flat out ludicrous.

Welcome to Orange County, Celia. There is no shortage of people who can afford a $100K catering bill.

Ya, prices sucks around here. Originally I was hoping for 10k. That went out the window in less than an hour when I actually started researching prices in our area.

Haha thanks ladies...yes it's been one of my dream venues along with montage which I'm pricing as well....they emailed me prices but again they are only estimates....their minimums are what hurts lol ....but I'm determined to make it work- I would like any wedding planner or somebody who actually had their wedding at these venues (inputs) as well....100k is easy for Orange countys finest- I'm just looking to save a pretty dime when I can Smiley winking

I agree that you should just email and ask. Have you gone in to take a tour? That is when you can get into specifics. Pelican Hill is going to cost you a pretty penny, that is for sure. I was surprised, my dream venue in Long Beach that I actually booked has a pretty reasonable food and beverage minimum (well for OC/LA standards). You never know what you can find when you research and ask lots of questions.

I had 300 people at my wedding. It was in a tent on private property. We love the view personally but it isn't a higher prices area. Counting everything, I may have spent 300.00 a person. I know you like the view, but using the link that Krystyna posted, what I had was going to cost closer to 600.00 a person. If you have the budget for it, go for it. there are always other options if you don't.
