Peonies for our wedding!

I love peonies! That is one of the flowers I have chosen as well – fuchsia peonies. Along with black dahlias, free spirit roses, lisianthus, scabious, blue thistle, crespedia, and hanging amaranthus. I think the flowers are the things I’m most excited to see all finished & in the space!

I’m doing peonies too! White peonies, white hydrangeas, white roses and white Vanda orchids

My home states flower! (Indiana) Now that you reminded me of that, I have to include them! As far as flowers go, dahlias have been one of my top favorites. Snapdragons are up there as well but only bc it feels right.

We had whatever the florist suggested haha. Peonies are only in season for a few months of the year so it’s really difficult to have as a wedding flower unless you’re having a spring wedding!

View Quoted Comment Unfortunately I think you might have to. It’s almost impossible to get peonies outside of April-June. There are a lot of similar looking flowers though with different seasons!

Agree with this. Some varieties of Cottage Roses look a lot like Peonies, and are both more widely available year-round and significantly less expensive. A good florist can help you achieve the look you want while balancing seasonable flowers and costs. Beautiful inspiration pics!

We are using paper roses made out of the love letters we wrote each other over the past 7 years.

I love peonies. I had some in my bouquets too

We aren't choosing any specific flower, rather going for what is in season in the color we want (and available from our florist, lol). I do love peonies though. One flower we will end up with is ranunculus, which looks a bit like a double peony, and is super pretty!
