People invited to Mini-wedding & Postponed celebration?

We just decided that we are getting married on 9.12 but will be postponing the celebration part. We will have about 30 people at the wedding.

We are sending out 'change the dates' to everyone not coming to the mini-wedding. What do we send to those that will be attending both?

Also! The people that are attending are our close family & a few friends. So we will be calling them all this week to tell them updates. The 'change the date' will not be how they find out, but I want them to know about the new date too.

I’d send them the same change the date but I’d also have some kind of invite for the mini ceremony so you can get your RSVPs. You can explain that they’ll get two pieces of mail when you contact them.

You could either send them the same Change The Date card as you're sending everyone else, or you could create a new card to send them with the details for both events. That way, they only have to keep track of one piece of paper instead of two.

I sent change the dates to everyone who got an original save the date and just told the people invited to the ceremony about it. If we had sent invitations for the miniwedding, we would still have sent them new date magnets. I think as long as you tell them the whole plan when you tell them about the new date, you shouldn't run into any issues.

Hi Kaylee! As long as you really clearly communicate both the current mini wedding plans and the postponed big reception to those 30 core guests, you should be fine!
I'd think about sending everyone a "Change the Date" and then separate invitations (or evites) for your mini wedding! 💌
