People thinking they are invited to the wedding

I just need to vent for a second. I think it’s really frustrating that people automatically think they will be invited to the wedding even if there’s no talk about it. Trust me, if I could afford to invite everyone I ever known to the my wedding I would. BUT unfortunately I can’t. Also, does anyone...

Idk why but it just bugs me.

Lol, this is what I would say too. Now that I’m married the new question is “how’s married life?!” What answer are they expecting?? I always just say “the same” and then people ask why I don’t sound enthusiastic about it. I’m like...... because I’ve already been asked that 6 times today.

This!!! I hate people assuming they're invited. I usually just ignore it. The wedding planning question doesnt bother me though. I had a girl who was a BM and she just kept disappearing and was super flaky. Never wanted to look at dresses or anything. She ignored me for 2 months so I told her hey I understand life happens I'm assuming you cant be in the wedding it's okay just wish you would have talked to me. She NEVER replied. Mind you this was one of my bestfriends. I called her out on it 2 months later just so she knew how I felt and that I felt she didnt care for me as a friend. Weve been talking on an diff since then but she knows shes not in the wedding and everything like that... fast forward to a few months later of not hearing from her and out of the blue she asked why she didnt get an invitation yet. I was paying for her lodging if she came when she was in the wedding but since I took her out I didnt think she would want to come because that's why she bailed on BM stuff because money. So I sent her the invite and she had the nerve to say she will have a plus one and they prefer a king room..... like uhm no... you dont get free lodging. The lodging was for wedding party only.

We did have some friends get upset because they weren't invited but got over it when we explained that it was due to space and budget.

I typically don't mind when people ask about how wedding plans are going. Granted I won't show pictures of anything to not spoil the surprise. But I will say we booked that vendor or I got this on sale, etc.
