PERFECT father/daughter song

My dad and I have been discussing what to dance to at my wedding, and are coming up pretty short! I grew up listening to my dad play a lot of Motown, and would love to have a song that represents him. I'm not coming up with much, and although i do love "My Girl", I feel like most weddings I go to that song is played for the father/daughter, and I wanna do something different. Any ideas? Maybe one of you know of a song that would be PERFECT for us

I made my dad choose - he picked "Then They Do" by Trace Adkins.

Mel-- I love that song. I always suggest it for processional

future mrs. elliott-- I'm surprised more people don't dance to newer Tom Petty for the father-daughter dance! It's such a pretty, sweet song without being overly sappy, and it's not even the only song that would work-- I also think "Walls" would be great!

Try something that plays into your relationship whether it is a "father/daughter dance song" or not. I'm using Just Fishing by Trace Atkins which is about a dad and daughter going fishing because that's what we always did when I was growing up.

I let my dad pick out the song. He chose "Someone Loves You Honey" by Charley Pride. What a great choice. He did good

I want to use Colour My World by Chicago. It was one my mother and fathers wedding songs. And I thought it would be special since my mom passed away 2 1/2 years ago.

I am at a loss. My stepdad will be walking me in exactly 5 weeks, on my 45th birthday. He has raised me since I was 12yo, and he means the world to me. However, he is primarily Spanish speaking, which is making it impossible to pick a song. I don't know what to do.
