I just checked my calendar and discovered that my period is due the day OF my wedding!!!!! >:o{ I'm SO upset!!! I stopped taking BC pills last fall and I got the copper IUD inserted in Feb. My periods have been pretty regular, so I can count on it to arrive around my wedding day. I've heard there is a way to delay your period. Does anyone here know anything about that? Please advise because I don't want my wedding day to be ruined behind this.

@ShaTerra, We are date twins and the reason we picked it was because I usually start around the 27th 28th of the month, but get this. I have two teenage daughters that live with us. My 18 year old and I have never synced but the 14 year old just started 7 months ago and she is messing us up. We keep teasing her but I am really hoping that in the next year this house can figure it out. If not oh well. Our biggest concern wasn't my actual period but I PMS hard a few days before and he was trying to avoid that. LOL

The only thing I can think of would be to consult your DR asap about the pill. I'm on the pill and took my placebo pills a few days early so I'd be done with my period before the wedding. But, if you haven't been on the pill for a while, it could take your body some time to sync up with it, so there could be some spotting, etc. I'd just talk with your DR asap. Good luck. Smiley smile

I just got off the shot so I'm hoping I'll be safe.

@Stephanie ~ I totally forgot about women in the same households syncing up. FH's friend & his wife & kid might be moving in with us. So I hope that doesn't mess me up!!

With birth control pills you can delay or skip a period. I've done it before. My Doc says it's ok.

Funny last year I chose the date for my wedding because my period was not going to be around. Well because my period changes weeks as the months go by...it is now right smack in the middle of my honeymoon! It is starting to inch its way back to another week but I am so afraid it won't make it by July so I am going to the doc next Tuesday to ask about getting on the Depo Shot since it's one shot that lasts 3 months. I never been on it but I just want something to temporarily shut it off. I figure if I get it now, I should be fine in July. I'll see what she has to say.

I took hormone pills once to induce a period. Maybe you could do that a few weeks before your wedding to change your cycle. You would need a Dr's script.

My wedding is on Saturday. My period was supposed to be over by tomorrow or Friday but didn't even start until (hopefully) today. I'm not going to take pills because they can cause a lot of health problems and allow eggs to become fertilized but then stop them from implanting, killing them, so this period is here to stay. Thoughts on staying sexy while bleeding? Cx I mean, so much for the sexy white lingerie, or any for that matter. Thoughts?

Mine is due on the actual wedding day as well! And I am only 40 days out so there’s nothing to save me now unless I get pregnant this month! I’m hoping the stress makes it come even a day late 🤞 OR that it comes the weekend before, that way my period will be done or extremely close to it where it’s like it’s not even hardly there 🤷‍♀️ I’ve never crossed my fingers so hard in my life!

I figured i shared something i shared on another forum why not here.... if you wear tampons try using softcup! you can have sex with it in and no mess as long as its cleaned or new before hand... your man will not be able to tell it is in there ... mine is well endowed and i used them for a year on my period and he had no clue until i told him about it, now he shares the information with his buddies for their wives time of the month its pretty funny listening to him try to explain it lmao... if you cant stop your period, hide it lmao

been using these for 2 years and they are awesome ( little messy to empty but you get the hang of it after a few times)

Period on my wedding day...Are you serious????????? 1
