I used to be on birth control but I stopped. I’ve been reading things that might help to delay it but I don’t know.

If it makes you feel any better, I had my period on my wedding day too, and it still went off without a hitch. My DOC and her assistant carried around tampons all day long and my bridesmaids helped me hold up my dress when needed. It's obviously not ideal but also not the end of the world! But I would definitely let your bridesmaids know so they can help you out

Girl, I was a psycho and seriously mapped out my period schedule to make sure I arranged my wedding day when I won't be having a visit from Aunt Flo

Wedding stress alone might be enough to delay it! Hah. My wedding threw my cycle out of whack for sure!

Aww man!! Are you on the pill? If so, take it religiously at the same time everyday, don’t miss a pill, and skip the week of placebo pills. This will regulate your period so you can modify or adjust when your period starts.

Not the same as your situation since you’re the bride but I was a bridesmaid and I had my period too! I was worried because I usually have heavy flow first couple days like I’m talking I can leak thru my pants. My suggestion is where a heavy tampon and a panty liner just to be sure!

I noticed that when I started back working out that it delayed my period. Now Ill just hit the gym the days prior to an event and a little core exercise at home the morning of an event and it delays me about 2 days. Im not sure if it will work for you.

My wedding is over two years out so my period tracker doesn't plan that far. But my cycle has been varied some months it's 26 days and some it's 36. 🙄

As you get closer to your wedding you may be high enough stressed it's delayed a little. Hope your honeymoon isn't planned for right after though!

Most people are too exhausted for anything “special” that night, but you can take birth control to prevent that issue.

If you skip your sugar pills and take your birth control pills you can skip your period. I wouldn’t recommend doing this often though, but for that night it makes sense

I was so stressed before our wedding that it was late and we were able to enjoy the night 😉
Some people are too tired, but it was a priority for us.

I swear my DOC was more on top of it than me. She even scheduled a bunch of "tampon change" breaks into her timeline for the day. I probably changed tampons unnecessarily several times, but better safe than sorry. Everyone's body is different, but there was so much excitement (and stress) throughout the day that I didn't have any cramping. Just had to make sure to be careful with changing tampons often Smiley smile

Why not make it extra special and he can get his red wings. 😂

But seriously I'm probably going to have this problem but hoping the pre wedding stress will push it back a bit. Hope it doesn't hinder your day at all!

Most couples don't have sex on the wedding night anyway. You can still have sex with a towel underneath.
