Period on my wedding day

Erica, on September 16, 2019 at 12:06 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7
So I’m suppose to get my period the week of my wedding. I really want to try to get it to come sooner for some reason my period is getting delayed probably due to stress Smiley sad

does anyone have anything that helped them either delay or get it early ?

Do you use birth control? I read you can alter your periods by ‘skipping’ the period pills week and go straight into next cycle but beware I also read that if you did decide to do that, they recommended 3 months in advance to get your body regulated to the new cycle

Honestly I would rather have it on my wedding day rather than during the honeymoon lol. I totally talked though. My cycle changed and now starts two days before my wedding date.

Depends on how far out you are from your date (can't see it on the app for some reason). I'm on a seasonal BC that results in 4 periods a year, and I LOVE it partially for that reason where I can try to "avoid" inconvenient times.

If you're opposed to BC, and you will be at the tail end during your wedding, you can try exercising early in the cycle and other activities to speed the process up a bit. I never found it to be a reliable way though, maybe lightened up the last day or two.

    Good luck!

I don’t know how far out you are but as others have suggested, speak with your doctor if you are on birth control and what they recommend. I also think stress may factor in and change things. My wedding is Friday and for the last few months the tracking app I use said it would end the day before the wedding. Last month it was late a few days so that had me paranoid but this month was early so your body may change. And as someone else also said, i would rather have it on my wedding (despite the terror of being in a white dress) than on my honeymoon

I've always read about trying to induce it by taking a lot of vitamin c. Not sure if that really works or not

I spoke with my OB/GYN and she put me on birth control because my period was suppose to come on my wedding. So far I've had nothing but spotting since starting the pill back in July. I'm hoping that in the next month I will see a change in my cycle if not I will be calling her again.
