Not at all, I monitor my period using my birth control pills. Have you talked to your gynecologist about this...?

I had mine on my wedding day! It didn't change anything. Just make sure to plan ahead that you have the necessary items along with you! Including pain pills!

I'm irrationally worried about it. Meaning- I can't stop Mother Nature from happening. I'm on BC but even skipping my placebo week to "skip" my period still will make me have similar symptoms. I'm worried about how much I bloat and worried my dress won't fit- that's my only concern. But again if it's going to happen, then it is what it is!

Yes! Not on birth control so I'm worried considering my period is so random and never comes on time.

I guess I never thought to ask random strangers on the internet about their periods.

I really dont understand how this post happens like once a week or so.

    Talk to your doctor.

No, when we got engaged last May I went through the calendar and marked my periods so the wedding and honeymoon wouldn't fall on my time. I'm on the pill so I always know when it's going to happen

Nope. I'm an adult and won't let my period ruin/affect my wedding. If I'm that concerned I will make sure to choose a date that isn't close to my period start day. However stress affects it which would cause it to be late anyway.

@HisBeauty well that is true but some people don't have the best periods. It certainly wouldn't ruin my wedding day just wouldn't be great having it that day either.

@FB99 not everyone chooses to be on birth control so there's that.

Meghan my periods are absolutely miserable hell. While I don't want my period on my wedding day, there's absolutely no way to really avoid that other than changing my wedding date.

@HisBeauty unfortunately my cycle isn't really regular so there's no way knowing for me but I didn't want to plan my wedding around it. If it happens oh well just saying it would be unfortunate!

Nor is mine. I'm hooked to an iv for three days for fluids during my period. Also in horrible pain. Luckily my period is pretty clockwork. As much as it sucks there's no 100% fool proof way to avoid it.

Before I got my Kyleena, I was worried about mine because it was scheduled to start on the day of my wedding. That was 1000% no bueno because my cramping is horrendous when my periods started. Thankfully, it helped to fix my pain. I would recommend talking to an OB/GYN if you haven't already, and make sure you have everything with you that normally helps! Lots of ibuprofen! Smiley smile

Omg all the Mirena comments, I love Mirena too! One of the best decisions I ever made. If any brides out there are considering it, I highly recommend it. It made AF very very short and light.

Get an IUD before planning and take it out after the wedding/honey moon problem solved. Smiley smile

Meghan I'm confused by your comment.

I had the Mirena for 6 months, then demanded it be removed.

Jodie, while it may work for you, it may not for her. iud is something she needs to consult with her doctor. It's not safe to recommend medical advice for people.
