I'm pretty regular so I was able to schedule my wedding around my period! I also have Mirena but still have a monthly regular cycle. I see your concern.. if your period are regular maybe plan around the date!

Also in the mirena club, so no need for period worries. Seriously, be an adult and deal with it!

People are brutal on this site. Yet, I keep coming back for some twisted reason! I'm scheduled to get my period on my wedding day. Went to gyno and she said she really couldn't help me. So, I'm

going to try teas that help with water retention (my face and hands swell bad during that time) and Advil. It makes

me super sad and fearful of the awful cramps I get. But, it's out of my control. I'm pretty resigned to the inevitability.

Nope. I take the pill and I'll just skip the placebos for the month if need be.

Look, I understand that for some women, periods can be debilitating and it could ruin your wedding. But if that's the case, you should be talking to your doctor, if you haven't already, about medication to help you manage your symptoms. When I was younger, I had cramps that would leave me bedridden, and could bleed through a maxi pad in less than 2 hours. So I went to the doctor, and now my symptoms are under control.

The first time I got married my period came a week and a half early and I started the day before my wedding. I handled it like any other time, it wasn't a big deal.

Some of the posts on here are very judgemental and rude. Some of us have crippling periods, so the thought of having this on our wedding and honeymoon is terrifying. I wasn't supposed to have my cycle, but because mine are not regular, I now know that I will be. I have several medical conditions that make my periods nearly unbearable, so yes, I'm woman enough to say that I'm a bit scared. I want to be able to enjoy my wedding and honeymoon, but i know i wont be able to function well.

I'm looking for advice and support. I've never worn a tampon before, but is that the best option? I also want to swim on my honeymoon. What is best for that?

Some women have really hard times with their period. That's why I went on birth control. Ive had some that work for a few years then it just isn't the best option for me.

Ive been on Nueva ring for a year and I'm in almost unbearable pain with it. Like,I will shoot out of chairs because pain will instantly hit. My doctor isn't worried since it only happens whe I'm on my period. I looked into IUDs, I love not having to take a pill, but it wasn't worth it as I only want to be on it for another year.

Lastly, the last thing birth control has done for me is regulate me. Before birth control I could tell you 6 months out the date and time my period would start, now its just a surprise within a week of when I take the ring out. I will be on my period for my wedding day. I am trying to alter that but my period is so strong there is a good chance I won't be able to.

I was worrying but im on BC so I will be tracking it appropriately! With BC pills you can skip that months period of you HAVE too (try not to an don't do it many times) but skipping one month for your wedding (a.k.a take the pills the week your suppost to start) it won't do too much to the next period just maybe start a day sooner I've done it before when i was in high school I think for prom

I will most likely have mine according to my tracker (Not on BC) I am going to do what I normally would do. Tampon, Pad, Tylenol and maybe some bloating meds just in case.

Time for your partner to earn their red wings (which if you're getting married, they should have done by now)

Mine is irregular so it's definitely possible especially since I'm sure I will be stressed. My biggest concern would be my endometriosis but I will do whatever I can to make sure it doesn't affect my big day!! Smiley smile

@PrettyWitty, are you referring to sex? This is an honest question, not sarcasm.

Not trying to be rude, but all of the "be an adult" comments, really? How about it being so heavy you bleed through in an hour? How about cramps that make you buckle because you have cysts? Again, not starting anything but y'all don't know everyone's situation.

I use the Glow app to track my cycles. I find it pretty accurate predicting when my period will start. I hope I don't get it during my wedding cause the first day is always awful for me.
