Period Panties

CourtneyBrittain, on August 1, 2019 at 7:13 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 24
So I guess my body is still adjusting to birth control, because my period just came 11 days early and in the middle of my BC package. That being said, before today I wasn’t worried about spotting or anything on my wedding day. Now, however, I’d like to be extra prepared just in case.
Has anyone tried any of the period panties? Where can I buy some *in person*? I don’t think I have enough time to ship some to me considering the wedding is 8/8/19 😅

Thankfully, my dress is now super form fitting and has lots of layers so (God forbid!) if anything were to happen, it would be very difficult for me to show 😅

I’ve tried target/Walmart to no luck sadly. I didn’t think of amazon prime!

It's not a bad idea, especially if your periods tend to run long. I haven't tried them myself, but I've heard only good things. As far as getting them on time, have you considered amazon?? If you (or someone you know and don't mind them knowing you're buying them) has prime you could have them shipped in two days

**edit: haha oops started writing this before I saw any other comments

Amazon probably. I didn't have a problem with my period because it ended before my wedding but yes definitely be prepared for if it can happen during then !

You can get Lunapads at some targets that are reusable pads and are basically just the gusset of the peroid panties.
Amazon, Thinx might have fast shipping.

It should be over within 4 days, but I’d much rather be prepared!

Do Lunapads make you feel the same as regular pads? I hate pads because I always feel wet and like I’m wearing a diaper

Nope! I actually swear by them. I am the rare unfortunate soul who is allergic to the bleach in pads and tampons (I'll let you guess how I found that out 😬) and I find them much more moisture wicking. They're soft. They absorb more than you'd think. They don't give you swamp butt if you're sweaty. The wings don't chaffe your thighs like the disposable ones do.
Also if you stick em I'm the sun they don't stain. I started before the lunapad brand got big and I am honestly so much more impressed with their all in one pad they got at Target.
I was gifted Thinx underpants and I like them but they tend to ride up a bit and I have enough going on down there when I get my period so I wasn't a fan of that.

When I first started using my birth control I experienced spotting for the first month. Nothing terrible, but I always have pretty awful side affects to basically everything (I can’t even take OTC cough medicine bc I experience extreme sleeplessness ). It was really light, and period panties will probably be a great precaution.

I have bought Bambody from Amazon and while they do pretty much what they say they will- they make a little noise when walking/moving in them 😬 kinda like.. plastic rubbing together sound? And like all period panties they only seem to come in black. But I did get them from Amazon prime so I know that's an option.

Have you tried Walgreens or CVS? I'm sure I've seen them there.

I really love my Thinx in the hiphugger cut, but I've only bought them online through their website. The hiphuggers do not give me a wedgie, and they're so comfortable I don't feel wet in them.

You're very welcome!! I thought of those two stores primarily because I have them both within a few blocks of my house! Seems I'm always running to Walgreen's for something!
