Periods on Wedding day and honeymoon dont have to ruin it all!!!! He dont even have to Know!!!!

June2020, on June 7, 2019 at 5:00 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 18

Hi ladies,

I seen a few post about period ruining wedding etc. I just wanted to share some information that may help those of you who have no insurance or enough time for birth control to regulate your periods etc. Periods are inevitable... mine always come at the worst times. first 2 days are super heavy.

Im not worried about my wedding day... for 2 years i been using softcups... you can have sex with them in ( but make sure its a new one or emptied before attempting) He will not know its in there!! for the first year i didnt tell my guy, and when i did he said he never knew Smiley smile less leaks then a pad or tampon, less changing out...

hope this helps someone out!!!!

  • sharing some love on multiple forums on period topic... if you cant stop a period you can hide it... better then a tampon/ last longer between changes and you can have clean sex with one in... he wont even notice it, been using for 2 years and the first year he was clueless until i told him about it.. now he tells his friends about it and they tell thier wives/girlfriends ( its funny listening to him try to explain it lmao.).. its a game changer.

Periods on Wedding day and honeymoon dont have to ruin it all!!!! He dont even have to Know!!!! 1

Unfortunately for me, getting my period doesn't mean just bleeding. Cramps are so awful that sex hurts, so it wouldn't matter whether he "knew" or not!

Just my experience, but these make it uncomfortable for my FH! It blocks blood, which means it also keeps me from... how do I say this Smiley xd ... keeps my "dry" down there (SORRY TMI).... so it actually makes sex SUPER uncomfortable for both of us! Plus, he said he could feel the actual cup. We just really didn't enjoy it. Worth a try though!

I think it's also just the overall idea of the smell, leaking, cramps, and self consciousness that can come with periods. Especially knowing that you are wearing white on the wedding day it could definitely make it a worrisome thing. I joke if I get mine I would wear a giant diaper under my A line dress aha.

But thank you for the share because I've never heard of this before!! Maybe I'll give it a try!!!

I tried these the last few months after purchasing from a FB ad... I much prefer my diva cup. I could never get these to sit right in front of cervix and constantly had leaks. Then if I had to #2 (which is frequent during my time of the month, sorry for the TMI) the pushing would dislodge the thing... it was just an icky mess all around and I definitely did NOT feel sexy enough to try to actual sex!! But more power to anyone this works for!!

My period tracker app (Flo) has been amazing. I’ve been using it for 9 months, so it has figured out my exact cycle just by me logging the day I start every month. Like this month for example, the app said I would start on the 5th and, sure enough, I did. According to the app, I will be off of my period exactly one week before the wedding! 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks for this information though, because I definitely would have needed it I was supposed to get my period during wedding or honeymoon. 😀

I've seen this but didn't know you could get it on with them in. It seems like it would be uncomfortable. I understand how to get them in, but how to get them out?

You just feel for the lip of the cup and pull it out.
I used them years ago when I needed them.
Perks of being old...no more periods. Hallelujah!

I've never even heard of these but they sound kind of unsanitary and uncomfortable. Plus I'd be super worried if something were to happen and it get stuck or something. That would freak me out.

Never heard of this before good to know but I actually plan everything around my period and my wedding was not the exception. I get really bad periods, cramps, bloated, headaches, fatigue and even swollen feet so no trip, no event and no wedding plan by me is ever around my period.

Before my endometriosis surgery and IUD, I used these constantly and loved them! For a while, they stopped making them. Once I have the IUD out, I will need them again as endometriosis and PMDD are an awful combo. I’m so glad to know that they’re back!!

I use these! I will NEVER go back to tampons/pads. They make me feel way cleaner and I can second that they work for for adult activities. When i first started using them, I def had some leaking. I watched some YouTube videos for better insertion and I learned the trick to put them in; I haven't had any leaks since. I cringe now if i have to use a tampon. Smiley xd

Is the insertion and removal like the Nuva Ring?

I just remember holding the sides together to insert and pulling on the lip to remove it.
I really liked them. I've never used the nuva ring lol I'm old...way after my daySmiley smile
If it was easy enough for me to use...trust me anyone can lol. I'm less than graceful ha ha

Oh bless you! It is better to be safe than sorry, I understand that.
I had endometriosis for years, had one miscarriage then was unable to have children.
God blessed me with a 6 year old ...now 8 year old stepson to be.
Hugs to you. So glad you are cancer free!❤

That’s not my biggest problem, if it lands on the first 2 days I will be in so much pain, but more then that my hormones make me extremely angry, especially around family I don’t know what it is, but my dads face sends me into a fit of rage and since he’s paying a good portion of the bill I’d rather not have an irrational outburst attacking him the day of, but there’s nothing I can do about and no planning around it because it comes whenever it feels like it

I use nuva ring too. The nuva ring is easier to insert because it’s more flexible, but it’s similar insertion and placement. The biggest trick I learned for placement, is to push the cup up and back while “bearing down”. Meaning pushing like your trying really hard to pee; that way it goes I’m as far as it can and creates a seal. Sorry if that is tmi.
