You are going to get 50 "what is a personal attendant" questions. This is not a common thing and many people here who know what they are find them rude (which I agree with), so don't expect a lot of actual answers to your question.

They are paid.

I know someone that has two personal attendants at their wedding coming up. I think it's frankly rude. Also, if they're good enough friends to make "attendants" they should be bridesmaids. And if you have like 10+ BM? Then you need to chill. Maybe don't have them be involved in the wedding? It's better than a physical gift.

Are they like the people that help set up the venue ? The venue we are getting married at has three employees that help : one for the Brides party one for the grooms party and one to make sure the guest are all stet. They are employees of the venue that make sure things so smoothly and everything is all set before the ceremony. I don't think they would get gifts

I'm not having a BP because I love my friends enough to want them to wear what they want and not "attend" me... I think maybe that comes with age, though. I'm not sure. Anyway... You should be buying a special, personal gift for each person who loves you enough to support your relationship and help you and/ or stand by you on this important day of your life. These people are your friends and family. They did not suddenly become employees, who should be made to feel lucky that they were allowed in your presence. Hire a pro if you need a Day Of Coordinator.

Oh wooowwww. I would reject the role of an attendant so fast haha. Not good enough to be a bridesmaid AND I would get there to see all the bride and all the bridesmaids get ready in a robe I was also not good enough for. Nope nope nope.
