Personalized cocktail napkins - yay or nay?

What are your thoughts on the personalized cocktail napkins? I found cute ones with a mason jar on them (general picture attached - if you can picture it in navy with ivory print), which is in line with our theme and rustic decor. Did you, or are you, planning to do these? If so, how many need to be...

What are your thoughts on the personalized cocktail napkins? I found cute ones with a mason jar on them (general picture attached - if you can picture it in navy with ivory print), which is in line with our theme and rustic decor. Did you, or are you, planning to do these? If so, how many need to be purchased? I am estimating 100 guests, so would 300 or 400 be enough?

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

I did 100 custom cocktail napkins from theknotshop on cyber monday! I'll probably have around 130 guests. I plan on purchasing maybe another 50 plain napkins as well probably from dollartree in our colors.

I got them, but only because of a giant sale. 300 for like $25. Unnecessary, yes totally. But at this point what's another $25 lol?? I always notice little details and we found perfect ones for our color and theme, so I went for it!

My cousin just had her wedding and had these napkins there.... Everyone snapped photos of them and I personally love them. I've purchased them for our wedding. Even though they get thrown out, so do a lot of wedding things. I think it adds a nice touch. But like everyone said, they're not necessary.

If it's in the budget then yes but it's really not necessary.

@LizzyS - thats a crazy good deal!! I found 300 for $70. But I can scale that back and get maybe 100-150 for pretty cheap.

Totally a waste, but we got them and I loved them!!! We had 135 guests and I got 200. I'm a sucker for any personalized details so they made me so happy. Put them out for cocktail hour and by the dessert table and they were all used up by end of wedding.

@FutureMrsMcCoy ~ They're not necessary, but I love a good cocktail napkin Smiley smile. I often purchase ones with funny / fun phrases on them to have on hand to give as hostess gifts, use at parties, etc. They're a fun touch, and I definitely use them ~ but they shouldn't break the bank!

I don't think they're necessary. No one is going to remember what their napkin said at the end of the night. I would put that money towards something else, but that's just me.
