Petal Toss

I would either put them in the chairs, or have them inside a display bin/basket at the entrance of the ceremony for them to grab on the way to their chairs. Either way, I don't think it'll be a huge inconvenience to ask them to hold them.

Have you considered maybe placing the cones underneath their chairs? That might work if you're worried about guests having to hold onto them!

If you want your guests to throw the petal during the recessional inside the venue from their seats as you and your FS exit, it may be best to have the cones in a basket with instructions as guests come in. If they are already on their chairs, they may not be sure when to throw them!

If I was a guest, I personally would have no issues holding them during the ceremony. If I didn’t want to hold them, I would simply leave it under my chair until the petal toss time

Where do you want the petal toss to take place? After the ceremony as you walk back down the aisle, or outside the ceremony venue as you exit?
