Photo booth or not?

Has anyone thought/used a photo booth for their wedding? They look so fun but are they worth the cost?

I have one booked for my wedding and have booked them in the past. They are 2000% worth it!! Super fun for guests and you get a boo with all of the wacky and fun photos. Social media integration and unlimited photos are a must with renting one

I love it - we do not have social media - but are still having a wedding site for out guests to post their pictures — we 100% are having a photo booth - it’s fun, funny and worth every cent ! Plus the kids will love it too

We are going to because we saw a special that was really cost effective, and comes with a free guestbook! So we will have a sign on our welcome table to say that at 6pm we will have a photo booth and a guestbook will be there!

We had a photo booth and loved it! Our guests had a lot of fun with it and we enjoy looking back through all the photo strips from the night. We used it as our guest book.

They're fun if they're there. As a guest, I've never missed them when they weren't. When planning my wedding, I couldn't justify the almost thousand dollar quotes I was getting, so we didn't have one.

I think they are worth it. As a guest it’s something fun to do between dancing. I loved seeing all the photos from my guests at my own wedding. It also kept my flower girls busy, they had a lot of fun.

We had one and I would definitely say it was worth it. Our guests absolutely loved it and we have an online gallery to all of the photos that were taken so it is nice to have those photos. Our DJ also had a book where the guests could glue in a copy of the photos and write us cute messages in. It also gave the guests who didn't like to dance or wanted to take a break of dancing something to do. They have always been a huge hit at every wedding I've been to.

I definitely don’t think they’re worth it. I’ve been to weddings with them and to weddings that DIYed it for basically nothing and think they’re fine, but I never really got what all the fuss was about. Definitely not worth hundreds of dollars to me.

I 1000% think they are worth the cost! They just give people something to do so they’re not dancing the whole time or just sitting there if they don’t dance. Every wedding I go to that has them you can tell the guests love them and have a ton of fun with them Smiley smile

We have one booked for ours. We went to a wedding that had one, and it was so much fun! We found a DJ service that includes it with one of their packages. They print unlimited strips for the guests, and also compiles a book of the images, and asks the guests to write a note next to their photo as a keepsake for us.

I’ve been to several weddings with a photo booth and honestly.. there is people in there ALL night. It’s fun to look through afterwords because everyone is more intoxicated as the pages of pictures go on.

Guests love photobooths and it’s a great way for them to interact and remember your special day. We are doing the photo booth in lieu of favors as they will get printouts to take home with them!

This will be our “favors”, guestbook, and we got a good deal with our photographer/DJ/ceremony videographer to add it on - so we’re looking forward to it!
Also we are thinking of bringing personal items to supplement the photo booth - maybe cut outs of our dogs that can’t attend, items for our favorite sports teams, etc Smiley smile

ETA we would not have paid the $600? for this if we didn’t work a deal with our vendor to include this AND the ceremony video. I really wanted the ceremony video, my fiancé kind of wanted the photo booth.

We know a lot of our friends and family love taking photos to post on their Facebook, so we definitely got a photobooth for our wedding. I think they’re fun and nice to look back at. The photos are technically our wedding favors.

As much as I'd love one, we were quoted at 750 and I just can't justify that. We only have about 20 people attending our wedding, so we're thinking about going a disposable camera route for all of our guests. My brother did it as his and it was still a blast!

Yes, we are having one and the guests will get their own photo strip as their favor. The photo booth comes with an attendant and all the fun props. It will cost us $750 for 4 hours. Oh, and the photos are double printed so guests take theirs, and the other one gets put in a book where they sign it. So we are getting the booth of fun for 4 hours, wedding favors, and a guest book all in one.
