Photo Booth: Worth It? Or Skip?

I'm booked a VW Bus that is converted into a photobooth. The bus is a good photo op for guests and I decided to not do favors since guests can take home as many photo strips as they want and I get a USB with all the guests photo strips from the evening. I would rather save money on favors and use it towards something that is fun for the guests and will be fun for my FH and I to look back at the pics our guests took.

As I told someone else who posted about this same topic, my husband and I did a DIY photo booth for our wedding last October, and it was awesome! It was honestly the best photo booth experience I've ever had at a wedding, and I'm not just saying that because it was my own. My sister-in-law has a background in theatre, so she brought hats, feather boas, masks, etc., and we had a few items of our own. She also made a Hollywood-themed backdrop (we had a movie-themed wedding) and brought lights. People had a blast with it! They could take as many photos as they wanted with their own phones and not have to settle for whatever came out of the machines. Our nieces and nephews liked it the best! We saved so much money, too.

We had them was did entertain out guests too!

We're having one for a few different reasons - the first being that going to random photobooths is our "thing" as a couple and with my future stepkids! The second is that (with our particular vendor anyways) everybody can take as MANY photos as they want and they get their own print-outs as well as digital copies (which we also will have access to afterwards!); two birds with one stone, they get their strips with a customized logo/date etc. as favors, and the attendants will actually help folks add their photos and written comments in a guestbook - all included in our package! And finally the third for us is that my wedding planner and her husband are a team - he is a DJ and they both run/own the photobooth side of the business as well, so we're getting some decent discounts by booking them for all of those needs.
