Photo booth

So I have a question. I like the idea of having a designated area for people to take photos like a photo booth but more of just an area with a cute backdrop for people to take pictures with their own personal phone and not a designated camera or iPad. Do you think the effort behind the idea is worth it and it would be utilized or do you think expecting people to use their own phones to take the pictures for that area defeats the purpose. I hope that makes sense and happy planning!

I think this would be a good idea. My venue includes one with their package. Here’s a photo of me in front of the backdrop. I think guests will definitely use it, I did lol when I toured my venue while they were setting up for a wedding they had later that day. Photo booth 1

I think you should do it, once guests seeing others take pictures in front of it they will most likely do the same.

It's def. doable, and your guests will utilize it as long as you have it in a spot that's accessible and easily seen!

Photobooths are such a fun thing for everyone. Well, at least I’ve always loved them, so this became a must-have during our original planning sessions. For me, it was the satisfaction received from that instant printout, commemorating my most recent happiness in life. I’ve pulled my hair out trying to make this magic happen. Most of my local vendors offer multiple services, and the cheapest 2 hour vendor with instant prints was still $700-+. So I started digging.

After countless hours of research, here’s what I came up with:

Insane amount of options for DIY variations of the Photobooth, but the common ground that lead me astray was the requirement of using my personal electronics, purchasing further gadgets to support said position, not having print outs, etc. and the list went on and on. We have the benefit of excessive outdoor space that I’m wanting to utilize for guests activities. My decision was to offer options of everything. Games, photo opps, activities…something for everyone, hopefully. The face-in-hole stand-ups were a good deal, lots of fun and I loved the tangible idea of it. I e provided the pics that inspired me. Best of luck and congrats! Photo booth 2

We thought about having one, too. Having funny pictures right away and without waiting for the photographer to finish all the Photoworks magic is good, it's like an appetizer before the main dish (ie professional shots)

Oh I think it's a cute idea! I'd use it.

At the last wedding I went to, there was a plain brick wall that had great light and everyone was like - "let's go get a photo - in front of the brick wall, obviously." So, even if you don't actually provide something, if there's a good spot, I think people will naturally gravitate towards somewhere of their own choosing anyway - which suggests to me that most people would like a designated place!

Follow up on the face in hole idea…HUGE HIT! As wedding date would have it, we had to move inside the morning of and the backdrops were put in a corner and I forgot about them. Some of our guests saw them and asked if they could use them, so I pulled them out after speeches and dances were done. Even better, I got them FREE. In place of a wedding gift, a friend offered to paint them for me. I had my dad bring me the lumber and we devised a plan for construction once painted. My wedding was everything I wanted it to be…but this was probably in my top 3 favorite things ❤️Photo booth 4
