Photo Booths: Overrated or Underrated?

Overrated. I wanted one initially, but it's not worth the expense and we don't have room in the reception space at this point.

Overrated and way to much money!!!!!!!

I love the idea, but they are ridiculously expensive! I would love to have one, but I can't justify the expense.

I personally also just prefer the photo strips, and our photobooth gives us a copy of each strip.

Overrated for the insane prices I've been receiving – but we really want one as a way to form a fun guestbook! Instead we might just buy polaroid cameras and a bunch of film and set it next to a a scrapbook where guests can take photos – stick them in the book and write something fun. We want it to be a fun way to remember the day!

Underrated. I think this is a fun idea for all guests at your wedding.

We are having the Mirror photo booth. We didn't hire our photographer for the reception so this is a great alternative.

Overrated. They were amazing a few years ago but now seem overdone, especially when you look at the cost. I also feel like a lot of the props are so cheesy and borderline tacky. I plan on setting up a DIY photo booth station. A table with a few items and a tripod that you can clip your phone into so people can have an option for a non-selfie photo.

Overrated. However, we will probably have one at our wedding, just because most people attending would probably enjoy it.

Overrated and a little tacky I think to have a full-on photo booth. However I think a cute selfie-station is just fine. We will use our flower wall we marry in front of as the backdrop for a selfie station.

Overrated and so expensive! Our venue just recently started offering it through our DJ, and when we signed our contract the venue kept trying to push it...like saying you need to let us know asap if you want...were like no we dont. Its not on our list of things we want and we are having two photographers. They will be getting all the photos we need.

Overrated… Played out… seen to often… Unoriginal. 😬

The best use for them is at a middle school dance.

Well, it would appear the vast majority find them overrated, but I have to disagree. Maybe it’s a know your crowd thing, but everyone seems to love them that will be attending our wedding. Also, I just think they’re so fun!! We hired a photo booth guy almost immediately when planning our wedding. He was the same guy that did my FH’s brother’s wedding two years ago. He was awesome and he’s not that expensive. Yay for photo booths!! 😆

Kind of overrated. They are everywhere and there are so many different ways to do it, depending on what you want to spend. I really wanted one, because I thought it would be a fun time for guests and a great way to get pictures, but didn't want to spend the money. So I got some polaroid cameras and I'm making my own props.

I made my photo booth so I would have to say underrated. I have a tripod selfie stick, and dollar store dress up and signs, they can take the pictures themselves and send them to their group.

As much as i love the idea of one, I would have to say overrated. They can get pretty pricey. I would rather put the extra cash towards something else.
