Photo Locations in Baltimore County?

Claire, on April 13, 2017 at 8:16 AM Posted in Maryland Planning 0 5

Hi!

I am originally not from Baltimore, so I don't know the area that well. But my fiance and I have lived here for three years and will be getting married in Baltimore in July.

Heres what I need help with....we would like to take pictures before the ceremony instead of between the ceremony and reception, but I can't think of anywhere to do it! The problem is that myself and the bridesmaids will be getting hair and makeup done in Towson from 8-10am, and the ceremony is in Rosedale at 1pm - so I know we'll be tight on time, but I can't think of anywhere somewhat on the way that is pretty enough to take pictures at.

Any ideas?

What sort of setting do you want? If you like nature then I recommend Loch Raven! Although outdoors in July in Baltimore will be hot and humid as literal hell, so be warned. But Loch Raven has some beautiful spots where pictures could be taken, maybe taking a hike out there to scope out a few ideas would be a fun date day.

Otherwise there is a courthouse in Towson with a nice garden, though I don't know when it is open, and Hampton Natl Historic Site, though again you'd have to check with them about whether they'd allow you to take photos. Or maybe you could find somewhere nice on Goucher College campus?

I think outside in July is going to be too hot for pictures. You don't want all that hair and makeup going to waste melting off your face!! If you have time to make it into the city the Peabody might be good or a new Hotel in Fells Point just opened called the Sagamore, it over looks the harbor and has some absolutely stunning views.

The Harbor is beautiful- but MD in July...the humidity is crazy here! I'm over in Northern VA, so I don't know all the ins and outs of that area. I love visiting the harbor, though!

We are getting married in downtown Baltimore in July and are limiting any outdoor pics to 10-15 minutes max. Like others said, the humidity will be brutal!

I agree humidity may be an issue, but there's the Gunpowder Falls near Rosedale, which could be a bit cooler. Or maybe the waterfront park in Canton. Maybe you could inside the Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Garden.

Ooo if you like wine, you could drive over to Boordy Vineyards, there's a good mix of cute indoor spots as well as the beautiful vineyards.
