Photo return time

Don’t complain. It will make the vendors take longer if you do. You are not the only client they have, especially with the surge of postponed weddings stacked on top of each other.


Send something neutral along the lines of “Dear Photography Company, We are wondering if something is holding up the photos being sent. The contract says x weeks after our wedding date of whenever. Please send an update at your earliest convenience. Thank you.”

Try calling instead of emailing. They probably have tons of couples and your emails may be getting lost. But I agree with Michelle that you shouldn’t complain just yet until you hear from them.

I think the fact that they responded, and told you you're on their backlog, is all the info you need right now. If you keep asking, they may start ignoring you. Another option is to check their social media. My photographer actually posts Insta stories every few days, listing everyone on her backlog so clients can see her progress.
