I think we're just going to Target Photo bc they usually have good deals anyway & with my RedCard I get 5% off so far it's the best deal in our area. ShutterFly is great too I get email coupons all the time.

I can only tell you NOT to do VP. I had all my stationery from VP but thank you cards were really, really miserable quality. I got the folded kind and they were cardbox like and grainy. The postcards we used as welcome notes were so much better.

I got double sided flat cards from mpix.com. I uploaded my own designs and got 50 for 43 dollars after shipping and upgrading the front to a glossy finish. Mpix is one of my preferred printers for printing photos, as they are the consumer side of the professional printing lab Millers. I have ordered Christmas cards from Shutterfly multiple years and have been happy with those as well.

Everyone here likes to recommend VistaPrint as far as cheapest cost for stuff after free items, groupons, discounts etc, however I have personally never been uber impressed with their quality.

Anyways, here were my cards, front and back. The area on the back was left for personalized handwritten messages to each guest.

    Thanks ladies!!

Mrs. O I love yours Smiley smile I am a huge fan of the back where you were able to create space to write a message. I am going to go play around on mpix right now (oh the joys of being "bored" at work lol)!! Stupid Question: Are they printed on photo type paper or like cardstock?? If it is photo was it hard to write on them without smudging??

Kirst I will keep you posted Smiley smile Let me know how your search ends up too!!

I was going to use shutterfly but I never heard of mpix.com! i will check it out and hopefully get some from there!! I agree I love Mrs. O's too! so adorable!!! Did you photoshop them?

Anyone putting a generic writing on their cards and writing on them as well? Or are you handwriting them? I was just thinking of putting on one side of the card Thank you for being a part of our special day. Love Mr. and Mrs. Blah blah blah. And then writing on the other side of the card something to them so I don't have to sign it all...lol im just lazy don't mind me!

I am thinking I want to have some type of wording printed on the front and then leave the back open like Mrs. O did so that we can also write a personal message on each one!!

Mrs O. what program did you use to create yours before you uploaded them to mpix?? Thanks Smiley smile

Kirst - I love that picture!!

Mpix has a variety of paper types to choose from on their cards, however they are more or less different types of cardstock. I chose their "stock paper" and upgraded the front to glossy coating. The back was non-glossy so I was able to write on it easily with a regular fine tip pen/marker.

I designed mine using photoshop. I'd be more than happy to customize something for you guys using the same or similar template as mine. Just let me know.

I got mine custom designed and printed -- they weren't any more expensive than shutterfly to do that (I think I got 75 for $100 but don't quote me on that). I had our Wedding Wire vendor Goskell (if you want her info, let me knwo) do them and they came out beautifully -- and of course I just had to send her the pics and wording and it took about a week to go through proofs and get them shipped. This is the front -- on the back I put the group picture of all of the guests at the wedding.

    Hi,

I just got an email from Wedding Paper Divas that they have a one day sale on thank you cards 50%off. You could take advantage from that. If you can't find the code let me know and I'll give to you.
