Photobooth Guest book

antsy, on September 23, 2011 at 4:18 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

We are doing a photobooth and planning to do a scrapbook with those pictures for them to sign instead of a traditional guestbook. Problem is...all the scrapbooks I'm finding have the pages in clear plastic protective pockets which is good for a scrapbook but makes it harder for guests to stick their picture on and sign. So should I pull the pages out and just have loose pages for people to sign? Or should I try to DIY something (although I'm only mediocre at DIY projects). What have those of you who are having a photobooth doing?

Where have you been looking? I've seen, not sure where, but they have black paper scrapbooks that are spiral bound..you can have them put the pics on there and buy cool colored pens..I'm sure places sell white ones too.

    For example,

Is the photobooth service not doing this for you?

There are scrapbooks without the plastic, though, if you're DIY'ing it and pasting the pics in at the wedding reception.

Look online (etsy has some pretty ones) for "guest book" - most of them have paper pages that might work well for you.

Good luck. BTW, LOVE the idea!

You could create your own! I've used Kinko's for school projects and they have many options for binding pages together (coil, comb or wire). This way you could custom make the pages out of any color and design and size of card stock and even custom design the front cover. If you go to a Kinko's they have samples of the binding and different covers they offer with clear plastic protective covers. I've made books as large as the 12"x12" card stock paper from Michael's. It would be really simple to do...just pick out the paper you want and make your cover, take to kinko's and they can bind them all together while you wait.

They provide a generic scrapbook but they said most brides opt to bring their own...which I get cause I want to be able to pick mine out although I didn't think I'd have this hard of a time.

@Ab Z. - I saw something similar to what you posted but with 20 pages. You think thats enough to fit guests little note to us as well as the picture? We're at about 150 guests.

    Eh, maybe I'm over-thinking it.

Hmm well depending if they put more than one pic on a page it should be okay. or get more than one..the kinkos sounds good too, I didn't know they did that type of thing!

This is pretty pricey ... but I bet you could do a DIY project with this. But here is a photobooth guestbook on Etsy It's a cool and creative idea! Honestly, I bet you could go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby in the scrapbooking section and do this on your own and less than the $200 priced on Etsy.

@ Cydney - Yup, I'd say $200 is a little out of the budget but I think I could totally make this ... and combined with Tammy's kinko's idea would probably work.

What about having little scraps of paper-whatever color/size/shape you want and putting those out for them to write little messages on and sign. THen, after the wedding is over, you can get a scrapbook and put the pictures and notes together for each person and glue them on however you want?
