Photographer Not sending photos

Angela, on February 13, 2021 at 3:31 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7
So our photographer let us know that it would take 8 to 10 weeks to get our photos. She gave us a preview about three weeks after our wedding with about 10 photos. The package we bought was extensive it included fall gallery of all photos. It’s now been 15 weeks from our wedding and we still do not have photos. She communicated at week 12 that she had gotten Covid and was putting her a little behind but I mean it’s been 15 weeks. I really want our photos, What should I do? We spent $4000 On the package and gave her a $500 tip after our wedding.

I understand you want your pictures but what can you do if she has Covid? You can look into legal options and threaten legal action but that will cost you time and money. Nothing you really can do but wait, Guess you could leave a crappy review but I don't advise any of the above.

Have you not had any other communication? Reach out again and see how she's feeling and ask if she will have an estimated time of when you will get your pictures.

I would just keep reaching out. I completely understand your frustration, but it doesn't seem like she's just blowing you off, especially since she did give you the preview photos. There's not much she can do if she's experiencing some of the more serious symptoms of covid unfortunately.

Very frustrating indeed but there doesn’t seem you can do much about it. She’s recovering from COVID & she’s probably just as frustrated as you since she can’t keep up with her side of the bargain.

This must be really frustrating, but keep in mind that COVID has some serious long haul fatigue for even the mild cases. Normal day to day tasks were difficult for me let-alone catching up on my giant pile of work. Good luck. I’m sure they mean well and will do their best.

When I contracted Covid it took me about two months before I felt like my breathing wasn’t labored. It can take even longer for some. I’d give her a little more time. As long as your still in communication with her I wouldn’t worry.

I would check in again, but I think the best thing to do is keep waiting. It seems like she is still in the timeframe where she really is just behind because of covid and can't do anything about it

There isn't much that you can do about her being behind because of covid. I'd check in again in a week or so, but there is no other way around than to keep waiting. It's very frustrating, but I don't think any legal actions will do you any good in this situation.
