Photographer Problems...

Michaela, on November 21, 2019 at 2:27 PM Posted in Married Life 0 5

My husband and I got married on October 12th. Our photographer and us had a contract stating we would get an online image proof catalog delivered within 30 days of the wedding via Pixieset and to deliver all digital files within 3-4 weeks post wedding day. I have messaged her twice now (1 text and 1 email) about the progress and both times she has not replied. The text was to see if we could get like 5 images at least so that we could get our 'Thank you' cards out in the mail. And when I emailed her it was 5 weeks after the wedding was over, wondering how things were coming. She is active daily on social media but doesn't seem to have the time to write me back. I paid her in full a month before the wedding so payment is not the issue. We had a videographer also and he was amazing at getting our highlight video to us and the rest is on its way. Thankfully from the highlight video I was able to take a still image for our cards.

But I am unsure of what to do, I don't know how my wedding images are coming. My dad thinks that there could've been issues with her equipment and she is just not responding because of it. I don't want to be mean or pushy but I have nothing but a video to post about our wedding or to share with family.

What would you do if your photographer won't respond to you and you're past your contract date, but she is still very active on social media?

Have you tried contacting her via social media where she's been active? Other than that, this sounds like something you may have to pursue in court. I would also leave an honest review for future brides. I hope it gets squared away soon!

It’s ridiculous how she ignored you but keep being active on social media! From what you posted it’s way to past the deadline. You paid for it with your hard earned money and placed your trust in her for taking photos of your special day. You should not have to go through this. I suggest sending her message through all the available channels, and I agree with PP if she’s still quiet after that you should take court action and write a review. Please let us know how it works out!

Honestly I would send an e-mail that says “Hi photographer, Per our contract photograph proofs should have been delivered by x date and were not. If they are not delivered by (date you choose in the near future), we will be perusing legal action.”

Does she have a storefront or something where you could show up in person? Hard to ignore someone standing right in front of you Smiley smile

So I have reached out many times and I keep getting new dates for when I am supposed to receive them and she doesn't meet it. She told me on the 21st that I would get them by the 29th. Then it was posted online that our new ETA would be the 30th. Since that was 2 other deadlines not met I requested a new date and a 10% refund. She told me on the 2nd that she was actually planning on sending the full gallery that night, ignoring my 10% request for a breach of contract. I waited anxiously all night and they never came. I get a message on the 3rd of her saying that she was up til 1 that night finishing them up and all she needed to do was send them to me. Waited all night again and she didn't send them. I messaged her this morning the 4th concerned about the honesty of her service and she told me that she was up til 1am again working on them and asked me to be more understanding. She now has guaranteed them to me today. This Saturday will be 4 weeks past the contracted date for me to receive my images. I feel like I have been pretty understanding an I gave plenty enough time for her to deliver my images.
