I had a horrible photographer for my wedding. So now 2 years later my husband and I are having photos done to make up for those since our photos are so bad we can’t display them. I’m curious as to what to tip. They are giving us a deal after hearing and seeing said photos. I wanted to say thank you but wasn’t sure what to give. I was thinking a dozen cupcakes (I’m a pastry chef) with a card and gift card or cash? Any ideas welcome

I would just do cash. I’m always leery of baked goods for people you don’t know because they could have allergies/dietary restrictions.

I've read to tip $100-$200 for a wedding photographer, but I'm assuming it isn't as large of a price tag for the photos you're having (since it's not a whole wedding). So maybe $50-$100, depending on the price they gave you? I do think the cupcake idea is nice, but I know some people are hesitant in accepting food from people they don't know very well. Just my thoughts!

I think the cupcakes are nice if they don't detract from the cash tip. I'd for sure do cash over a gift card.
