Photography List Question

Cassie, on January 14, 2021 at 11:03 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
As I start making my photography list I am stuck on a couple combos. We are doing a destination wedding and thus only have 5 actually guests. This includes: FH mom and sister (his whole immediate family), my mom, sister, and aunt (missing one of my sisters and my dad). As I make the list I initially had us doing a photo with both moms (is this rude without my dad being there to have a photo?). I was also thinking of doing one with us and both of the sisters as a sibling shot, but again is this rude as my older sister won't be there? We are thinking about doing an at home reception in the summer and could do the shots then but will I miss not having them while we are there? I dont want anyone to be hurt...

Take as many pictures as you can with those that are there with you. You only have that one day to capture those moments with those present. It'll be sad to not have photos with those unable to attend, but you don't want to miss out on having photos of those that are.

I'd take all the photos you can with who is there, then also have photos taken at the home reception.

It’s not like they’re there and not invited to be in photos. They’re not going to be there. Take the pictures.

Take all of the pictures! Those people not being there has nothing to do with which photos you should take. If they really wanted to be a part of your photos, they would attend the wedding. I don’t see taking the pictures without them as rude in anyway.

Exactly this. You want to get pictures with loved ones on your wedding day. You will always have people that you may have wanted there that couldn't make it for whatever reason. That doesn't mean you don't take pictures with the ones who are there.
