Photography - What did everyone pay and what did it include?

Your friend’s prices seem very reasonable compared to other photographers’ prices I have seen.

Our photography package was originally $3,800 but she gave us a discount that brought it down to $2,800 before taxes. She was running a holiday sale when we booked and our wedding date is a winter weekday. The package included an engagement shoot, main photographer for 8 hours and second photographer for 5 hours.

Depends where you live and the caliber of the photographer. We paid $5000, and this included a 1 hour engagement photo session (100 edited photos), 10 hours of coverage the day of our wedding (2 shooters, 1000 edited photos total), and a 12x12 wedding album.

$2400 for all day with 2 photographers, engagement pics, boudoir pics - sneak peek immediately after the wedding - rest of photos in about 6 weeks after the wedding

I personally saw a HUGE variation in prices. As low as $800 and as high as $5000. I personally sought after the TYPE of pictures I wanted - I wanted true to color, not overly processed, lots of candids, natural posing, and a sprinkle of traditional photos. I also needed 2 photographers for 10+ hours.

Your perfect photographer is out there.. you just have to look!
