Photos, self conscious

Can you get different frames that don't darken? Are you getting your makeup and hair professionally done? I'm basically depending on hair & makeup to make me feel pretty in front of the camera!

First of all, you are beautiful and your profile pic shows this. At the same time I completely get what you mean. I am not a fan of pics and generally hate how I look in them, but professional pictures always seem to make me look amazing so I am crossing my fingers. Choose the right photographer and you will look amazing. No worries! We are our own worst critics.

I hate my side profile soooo much lol I'm like who even is that. Also the double chin runs in my family, the skinniest family members have it. came from my grandma I think, all my aunts & uncles have it, it's not a suttle double chin either lol.. But I think we all have our insecurities, over the years I have really been practicing my self love and it's been helping me not be so insecure about my face and weight. For the glasses, try to get some new ones, eyebuydirect.com has cheap ones! & contour your nose, if you don't know how youtube it, just don't go overboard with it because sometimes people don't blend it properly, it won't change it completely but it'll help!

I am sure that you did choose the right photographer and they will make you LOVE yourself in those photos.

Hi! Have you thought about purchassing a cheap pair of glasses with a similar frame that you are used to from somewhere like Zenni (https://www.zennioptical.com/) I actually have found so many cute glasses on there that they are now my go to, but maybe you can get some that aren't transitions! Also TALK to you photographer. A professional should help you find the angles you love!

Totally know how you feel but I think once you see how happy you and your partner look in the photos you will be so pleased with them and hopefully won't even notice any of the insecurities that (truly) only you see. I personally don't like smiling with my teeth, anytime there's a candid photo of me laughing or smiling mouth open i'm like NOPE *delete* so I'm a little worried about looking authentic for my photos! I don't want to look uncomfortable or too posed in the photos because I'm overthinking how I'm smiling. Sometimes I seriously consider switching up which side of the altar I stand on for the wedding ceremony (brides are typically the left side, which would show my right profile - which I hate!) but i don't want to be too dramatic about it lol

Well you don't need to do fake lashes! They also sell short lashes that are just more full, you could buy those for her to use?

I don't feel that you're digging at all, I feel the same as you. I don't think I'm ugly, I just feel I don't photograph well lol I can't even really put a reason on why. But I am self conscious about myself in pictures. There were some pictures from our engagement shoot and our Christmas pictures that I beat myself up over. But there were some I was very pleased with.

Maybe show your photographer what photos you think you look best in, so they can get an idea of your "better" angles, and lean toward those when photographing you at your wedding.
