Pictures of the Costco garland!

Like many of you, I went back and forth over ordering from Costco floral. I finally pulled the trigger and got one for a mock up because "there's no price on piece of mind". The garland is perfectly what I wanted. I just picked up floral from trader joes but it's the same kind Costco sells (rose, hydrangea). I will probably buy Costcos white filler as well. Most of the floral is just tucked in but there are a few green zipties too. The garland is so thick that it holds up well if needing to cut and disperse amongst other tables. The core is just 5" of bundled stem that can be cut with sheers. You can also thin it out to stretch the use as well. We disected 1ft of garland to make 4ft of B&G chair garland! It's heavy and a beast to manhandle so expect at least two people working each box. Finally, I left it outside in direct sun for 2 days without any type of foliage treatment. At 26 hours, only 2 leaves had browned. Highly recommend if you're looking for impact. Maybe not for you if you're looking for a soft and delicate spread like eucalyptus.

Other: candle cases, chargers are from dollar store. Floating candles are from Amazon (best price but I haven't checked burn time yet). Everything else are things I scavenged around the house for the mock up, lol. Plates will be gold rimmed and silverware gold. Not the best photo because I wasn't thinking about posting-- but hopefully this helps! Feel free to ask any questions.

Wow that is beautiful! Great job!

What are their prices like? I'm obsessed with party hosting and want to do this for Christmas.

$79 for 25ft! Florist quotes came in at about $300 for greenery, floral, and candles PER table. The rest of the prices are available online.

Thanks for sharing. It looks amazing. Great job at finding a more affordable alternative. It doesn't look cheap.

That's beautiful! Great price too! I paid a florist for my garlands and it was definitely pricey at $15 per foot!

This is exactly what I would like and the florist quoted me $2K! Am I off or is this typical pricing? I have 15 6' tables and didn't think it would be this much. Any thoughts are welcome.

Definitely on par with what zib was quoted. I'd shop around for new florists looking to establish a portfolio (risky) or DIY.

Wow so pretty! This is my idea for centerpieces too! So these are real ones and will brown? How much time in advance did you order it? Can you please let me know what name you searched when ordering. Thank you!

Yep, real and they only barely started to brown more than a day later. Ordered on Monday and they arrived on Friday.

Silly question, Si, but did you just trim white flowers and tuck them into the garland?

I'm so obsessing over this look.

    Si,

I'm also going to order the garland from Costco. How many roses per feet do you suggest we use? TIA

I too am also wondering how many flowers to figure per foot to tie in? I have (4) 24' tables at my venue I am going to do the garland on. This is a picture of a previous wedding at my venue.

LOVE THIS! I am going to order bulk white flowers from Sams Club and was thinking of doing a garland for our sweetheart table also. Just beautiful! I am doing a similar classic white with greenery theme, but using different height vintage cut crystal and milk glass vases and candle holders/tapers.

Did you just tuck the flowers in there or did you use some type of water source? If you just tucked them without water, about how long did they last for?
