Pillar candles help!

Lauren, on January 20, 2020 at 3:28 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
I'm using lots of pillar candles in glasses for my ceremony and reception decor. Did you guys use any adhesive or glue to stick your pillar candles into the glass? And did you burn your candles prior to the wedding? I've read that pillar candles should be burned before needing to use them to help them burn better and create the pool of wax.

Our florist did all of our set up and we had quite a few pillar candles in votives for the reception - as far as I know there was no glue and no burning beforehand and everything seemed to go off without a hitch Smiley smile

We didn’t burn or glue ours. I had sand in the bottle of mine since we got married at the beach but you could use stones or colored marbles or something like that to keep the candles centered.

We did not glue ours down or pre-burn them. I don't remember having any issues.

I love pillar candles in glass. It's such a romantic, elegant look!

Would you consider testing one at home and see what works best with the candles and glass you've got?
