Pixie Cut Bride

Kari, on February 7, 2020 at 5:01 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8

Hi there!

To the brides out there with super short hair:

Did you get a fresh cut super close to the wedding?

Did you pay someone to style your hair the day of the wedding (seems a bit silly to me since my hair is so short...)?

Did you do something different with your hair on your wedding day?

I have pixie hair. My wedding is April 16. I am going to get it cut tomorrow (it's grown into a mullet haha) and see how it is in March. I may trim again nexy month again. I am probably going to style my hair by myself like I usually do but with my cathedrial length veil. 😊 Pixie Cut Bride 1

Awww! I love your cut! Mine is super similar, a bit longer on top. Smiley smile

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Kari Smiley smile

I don’t have super short hair, however, I hate the feeling of a frush cut and my hair never sits right for a few weeks. It needs to find its groove again after I cut it! Personally, I would get my haircut a month in advance! So just something to take into consideration when booking your own!

Are you planning on wearing a hairpiece?

With my hair so short, I usually get it cut once a month and I'd hate to be shaggy for the big day, haha!

I'm thinking about doing a headband or diadem (we're having a Hobbit inspired wedding), so I'll need to test out what'll look best still.

When I had short, pixie hair, I used to add little flowers, crystals and pearls using velcro. They stick to the hair without damaging or pulling at it, and they're easy to assemble on your own as well. My hair is a bit longer now, and I'm adding some stars/confetti to it to give it sparkle.

That is so cute! How else are you incorporating the Hobbit?

We want groupings of tables to represent places in Middle Earth (Rohan, The Shire, Bag End, Gondor) and decorate with wood, pebbles, old-fashioned lanterns, and moss in mind. Very woodsy. Smiley smile We're looking for more ethereal with subtle touches of Hobbit-inspired fun.
