Pixie cut + cathedral veil

Please help! I have a pixie cut and have a beautiful floral/pearl/crystal headband to match my dress. But at the very last minute I decided that I may want a cathedral veil to add to the look after all. Will it stay put with a comb and bobby pins or come right off? How about a veil with an alligator clip? Any photos/tips you can share?

    I think it should be possible to attach the veil by sliding the comb underneath your headband. You could also cross a bobby pin over the comb to help stop it sliding. But, are you able to test it out in advance? I would think a long veil with a blusher covering the face is going to stay better than a long, thin veil trailing out the back, too, if you haven't actually chosen a veil yet!
