Pjs, Robes, or Both

Deanna, on December 18, 2021 at 8:23 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 9
I have pajamas to give my bridesmaids. However, I also like the robe idea. Should I get both?

I would probably choose just one, since they're only used for a short period of time and too often, the robes won't be worn again, but if it's in your budget and you want to do both, go for it! If you do get the robes, I would avoid putting "bridesmaid" or anything wedding related on them to increase the chances of them being used again.

I think pajamas are more likely to be worn again, it’s what I got my girls, but I didn’t choose matching ones, I picked styles I thought they would like in similar colors.

Generally PJs have better coverage and higher reusability. I am on a robe rotation where when I receive a new robe as a BM gift I donate the formerly most recent one. The one I have now, which I use when I put on my makeup before fancy events, is super high quality, which I appreciate, especially as a ehem…bustier girl Smiley winking

My friend got us PJs from LL Bean for her wedding and wear them all the time. I think either would work though.

Pjs have the potential to be worn again as long as there is no embroidery personalization. You have to know what everyone’s sizes are but be upfront about asking. If it has names/titles/dates it will donated to Goodwill. Unless you purchase the long plush robes currently sold now at Target, the little silky robes you see on Etsy don’t cover much of anything and many women are not comfortable being that exposed around others.

Ideally the tops should be be easy open so that they don’t undo all the hard work of the beauty team. Also because this is a prop worn for less than an hour, this is not their official thank you gift.

I would choose one - either the Jammie’s or the robe.

I would stick with the pjs. If it is within your budget to do both then you can definitely do both. I feel like the pjs would have more use.
