We are on a tight budget. Buying all the table linens/plates/napkins/silverwear/cups soon online. Our colors are Ivory and either chocolate brown or light brown. My soon to be mother in law is making our centerpieces with mason jars fillede with daisies tied with twine and burlap. We will have a head table decorated the same. I want some sort of pazzazz when people walk in but everything seems to either be cheap/tacky looking or expensive!! Someone suggested balloons but isnt that tacky? Please help with some easy inexpensive ideas if you have any. Oh and we will have a gift table with Guest box I made where people give good wishes and advice and put in box as a keepsake for us. Thanks so much....sorry so long!!! Have a great day!!

@Danielle K - that technique WILL NOT make the balloons hang like that with helium. If you tried that, the marble would fall to the knot end, and they would hang regularly, if they floated at all.

To get that look- you blow the balloons up with regular air (with the marble inside), then tape the strings (that would be tied around the knot) to the ceiling. Nothing magic about it, just lots of tape and patience. The marble just gives it weight so it doesn't bounce around with a breeze.

    Love that pinterest balloon idea.

We're on a tight budget for decorations so we're just having a pop of color and calling it good. My coordinator suggested taking a square of fabric in our colors and placing them under our planned mason jar centerpieces to give a pop of color to pull the room together. It's going to be simple since we aren't doing ceiling decorations, but I think it'll turn out ok.

See my inspiration. I like a room to look uniform with mostly one color. you can do an all white with lanterns or balloons on the ceiling and get inexpensive tulle at any material store and run it across a wall, hanging up with thumbtacks or small nails. scatter petals on the table and add white candles in clear votives and you can cover the votives with ribbon or bling.

If you've got overhead fluorescent lighting, open the covers and lay a sheet of pale peach tissue paper inside. It softens and diffuses the light so everything looks candlelit. Smiley smile Pale pink is ok too but the peach makes everyone look rosy and glowy.
