Plan c for honeymoon is on fire?

Amber, on September 14, 2020 at 10:36 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9
We just booked our third honeymoon attempt.
1. Ireland (book and cancelled, money not refunded we have to go next year)- Covid
2. Maine (book but refunded) - our state traveler restrictions due to Covid3. Washington state (Airbnb, flight and car booked) - on fire
We are going sept 26. Should we cancel? Host says area is smoke filled but is supposed to get better over the weekend. I don’t want to end up getting evacuated on my honeymoon. And I don’t want to sound like I only care about me I am sorry for what the west coast is going through.

I think right now things are crazy and I would cancel. The 26th is less than two weeks away. I hate to say this suggestion but have you two thought to do a staycation and do the big one next year?? I would hate for you to make big plans to cancel again. I am so sorry, it is frustrating.

I would definitely cancel and just find a fancy hotel near you to enjoy yourself at. Going to WA right now is a bad idea

I would definitely cancel. I would hate for you to get there and possibly be evacuated.

Please don't go to WA. Things are just getting worse. Do a staycation! See something local you haven't been to before!

I would def stay home and make some “fire” of ur own with ur new hubby hehe. Things will def “heat up” in the bedroom and before you know it you’ll feel like you DID in fact travel to a wildfire stricken area!! Keep some whip cream on ice next to the bed and wear animal print to get him in a sexy mood.

I am sorry you had to cancel so many times now, i think once again best to cancel and look for something local to mini moon at. Then come back next year, hopefully things are not as 2020.

I'm sorry this is happening now, I live in California and its never ending smoke, it feels like you're crawling through a fire when you're outside. Washington is in the same boat and the truth is that its not the best time, the smoke is heavy and makes you cough as soon as you're exposed to it. My family and I are leaving a few days to get away from the heavy smoke, its just becoming too much.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. I agree with previous comments.

    What state are you in?

We initially planned for an Alaskan cruise next summer but have cancelled that. Instead, we're going to a state park a few hours away for our mini-moon and will figure out something larger next year when the world stops burning (hopefully!).
