We are in the final phase of planning our Florida beach wedding (7*14*21 is our day).

First you need to think about your vision: do you just want the 2 of you; do you live local; if not how far are you from a Florida beach; how much are you willing to DYI, etc….

There are some great vendors on this site who do various levels of “all” in beach weddings around the state. Depending on season, location, venue & items included you could be looking at as little as $1,000 and up to OMG how much can you afford.

We choose the Clearwater Beach Hilton for our wedding, they have a pretty inclusive intimate wedding package for 20 people which comes in under $4,000 (inclusive of: tax, service change, cake, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, location with indoor back up, some flowers, photographer, officiant and wedding night room. This package costs more on the weekends & you & your future spouse ARE considered 2 of the 20. Costs for extra people is relatively inexpensive however IF you want a longer reception time (2 hours total is included) or want dinner/brunch/lunch/alcohol they do require certain minimum spends which can double or more the amount.

We are having dinner, drinks & appetizers for 33 (including us) & we are going to be looking at something shy of $9K (which doesn’t include: invitations, rings, license, clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, favors, extra photographer time, videographer, DJ, etc).

We could have spent less (working harder & DYI more) or MUCH more. Which is why you need to figure out what your vision is & what’s most important for you as a couple, then start checking out some vendors & locations.

I was in contact with a couple of officiants who had some great small wedding packages which would have been awesome for a smaller group or IF you weren’t concerned about the weather or food.

    Hope this is helpful.
