Planning a big wedding for 2022 but now i don't want it!

Alejandra, on January 11, 2021 at 12:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I have been with my fiancé for 7 years and yeah i know what is one more year? But having to plan everything is becoming so stressful. I was thinking of going off to Vegas getting married or going to a court house and doing it then coming back and for our 2022 plan to just celebrate with our family (hoping COVID is better by then) since we have a pretty big family.

Any thoughts or advice that can help me with this? I'm also scared people being pushed back because of COVID will push back our wedding date.

TIA Smiley heart

Sit down with your fiance and decide what you both want. Your families and friends will love you no matter what you decide.

That is a personal decision none of us can make for you. There is nothing with doing that though if that is something you both want. You two should talk it out but just stop and ask yourself would you regret not having the big day? If not, I would say in lieu of courthouse maybe elope in a park or something. Make it nice and go out for a nice dinner.

Our family is great and i am sure they would, i just don't want them upset of not being part of the big day.

This has happened in our family before.

Thanks very much. Any consolation we had a small elopement ceremony or minimony with a few friends but we still made it special. You two could as well.

That's on them. Do what works for you and your fiance. You can't sacrifice your desires to keep them from getting mad.
