I had no idea wedding planning was so difficult! I’m trying to keep a positive attitude, but with only 133 days to plan, with no planner…. #Idontknowwhatwewerethinking #BecomingMrsGreene

Get yourself a planning binder! Or make one from google sheets. Talk with SO about your budget, and the must-haves and the must-not-dos. Then talk generally about guests before getting back into your budget talk and choosing a budget. Then shop in your budget.
There are a lot of decisions and details but if you take your time you’ll do alright!
    Congratulations!

You can do this. I planned my sister's wedding in 2 months; you just need to be very organized. What do you have done so far? The hardest part of the planning, in my opinion, is having the money for all of the deposits/payments, so if you have that, then you've got the hardest part out of the way!

Just remain focused and organized. Go through each process one at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. I’m setting up a wedding for someone with only a 3 week timeline

Get a venue. You technically don't have a date until you have a venue booked. And with that book your dj and photography if you are having them done professionally. You can do it, I lost my venue 2 months before the wedding and was able to find another one for that exact date. Maybe I was lucky but it gave me hope.

We are planning ours in four and a half months. My advice is to not be choosy about the date and the venue, and get as many package deals as you can (e.g our venue includes catering, cake, and linens/tables)

I planned our wedding in four months and it was my dream event. Here are my best tips:

    1. Get married in a city/area with lots of vendors, even if that's a few hours away from where you live. Your hometown may only have one or two venues and a small number of photographers. Branch out and you're likely to have more options.

    2. Make quick decisions. Talk to one or two florists and pick one. Don't agonize over small details that don't matter.

The Knot and Wedding Wire both have helpful checklists for the logistics. Do you have a venue yet? As PP said, that must be step one, because without a venue you don't actually have a date.

I planned my wedding in 3 months.

Don't get side tracked by all the pinterest boards and wedding forums.

Google sheet has a helpful wedding planning template.
In the beginning I just wrote tons of to-do-lists (love lists) and then worked through them.
I started out with lists around themes, so I wouldn't forget anything. E.g. ceremony, attire, food, rentals, music, decorations, legal, shop, DIY, vendors, ....Later I ordered them by time.

You need to start with venue and then vendors and dress. Then do invitations. After that decor and day-of-timeline.

Great advice, Thank you everyone! I have now have the venue booked, dress, rings and some ceremony decor. We have the guest list and I've even sent out save the dates! (I'm SO EXCITED!!!) I'm doing food tastings this week so that I can book the caterer. I'm a bit of a procrastinator so I'm quite proud of how much I've done in so little time, there is hope. #BeomingMrsGreene 10/23/2021
