Planning a wedding in Grand Rapids long-distance

ISaidHillYes, on June 7, 2019 at 2:04 PM Posted in Michigan Planning 0 8
So I live in New York City and am getting married in my hometown of Grand Rapids! Does anyone have recommendations for florists and bakeries? We have the other vendors covered, but those two are hard to choose from afar! I've seen lots of great reviews of different vendors online, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'll be visiting a few times before the wedding, but I need to whittle down my list of potentials so I can meet with them all.

I live in the Coopersville, and am doing it all locally. I'm getting the cake with cupcakes through Delly Belly bakery and the florals through Coopersville Harmony Floral the cake with cupcakes is going to cost $250 and the flowers with out the tables and the aisles are costing me $500. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

    Hi there Smiley smile

If you find any florists or bakers you like on the WeddingWire vendor directory, they typically have previous couples reviews on their WeddingWire storefronts you can check out if that helps you in your search Smiley smile

I'm at the Frederik Meijer Gardens using their indoor ballroom for both the ceremony and reception. Thanks!

I live and am getting married in Grand Rapids! Are you looking for a traditional cake or cupcakes/other sweets? We are going with The Salted Cupcake for a cupcake variety. I've had cookies custom made for a party from The Cakabakery. They are awesome too!

We were thinking of doing a cupcake tree, so thank you for the Salted Cupcake recommendation! I've seen a lot of beautiful cakes come out of Cakabakery.

I am getting married in GR as well, and we just selected Marge's Donut Den! We are doing donuts, but I am almost positive they do cake and cupcakes as well!
